My day one egg had the mass of 57.70g. A uncooked egg was placed in vingar for our egg osmosis lab.
My prediction for the was that the acid in the vingar was going to dissovle the egg's shell, the shell will also get soft and become bigger because the water from the vingar will go inside of the egg.
This is my day 2 egg, the mass of the egg increased to 77.67g because the water from the vingar went inside the egg using omosis, because the water concentration inside the egg was low. The egg was very sticky and thick. For the third day the egg was placed in corn syrup over night. I predicated that the egg would become slimy and that the water would also come out.
This is my day 3 egg the mass decreased to 42.69g, the water diffused out of the egg by osmosis. the egg became less dense and more dilute. for day 4 the egg will be placed in water over night, i predicted that the egg would get bigger and also change colors.
This is my day 4 egg the mass increased to 85.59g, all the water went inside using osmosis. The water went inside the egg to dilute the egg. the egg has been through many changes during this lab and it all because of osmosis. we started off with the mass of 57.70g and have ended with 85.59g.
